Dermalogica was formulated and started in 1986 by skin esthetician Jane Wurwand. New to the U.S., Jane noticed that there was a lack of formal education and professionalism in the field and decided to be a force of change in the industry.
Jane began the International Dermal Institute (IDI) in Southern California.  The vision was clear – to develop and share a product line
free of common irritants and ingredients that could cause breakouts (including lanolin, SD alcohol, mineral oil, artificial colors and fragrances) that would improve skin health, and were only available from qualified skin care professionals trained at The International Dermal Institute.

At Imagine, we recommend that you visit in person to receive a professional consultation from a trained consultant.
Skin is a living part of your body (your largest organ, in fact), that defends against environmental assaults and extreme temperatures. It helps eliminate toxins from the body. It heals from cuts, abrasions and scratches like a champ. It"s continually renewing and protecting. Simply put, skin keeps the bad stuff out and the good stuff in. So why do you dote more on your hair and nails – two items on your body that aren't actually living? Your skin needs personal attention, and although we sell some wondeful make-up products, we like to say
here that skin is primary and make-up is secondary. Start living your healthiest skin by investing in the right products for you!

UltraCalming
Genetic predispositions, environmental assaults, aging, life-style, and over-cleansing, can result in sensitive and/or sensitized skin. Symptoms and triggers can be identified as itching, burning, dryness, flushing, or stinging. Sensitive and sensitized skin suffers from a weakend lipid barrier thats unable to shiled against assaults that increase moisture loss and dehydration. Dehydrated skin cells function poorly and skins immunity weakens creating a higher risk for skin diseases (rosacea, eczema, psoriasis) and infection from irritants. Dermalogica's UltraCalming products all contain healing ingredients such as colloidal oatmeal, aloe, lavender, and the patented UltraCalming Complex to soothe and control inflammatory responses.
